    About MOSUL Film

    The feature documentary film MOSUL

MOSUL, the feature film, premiered at the 2019 Cleveland International Film Festival on April 5 (88 minutes, Produced by 2Rivers Pictures in Arlington, VA). The movie follows Iraqi journalist Ali Mula and a band of independent filmmakers as they join Iraqi security forces moving north along the Tigris River to recapture the Iraq's second-largest city from ISIS ("Daesh").

MOSUL's authencity is evident, drawing upon the unique experience and expertise of director and executive producer Daniel Gabriel, who served as a CIA counterterrorism officer in both Iraq and Afghanistan before studying filmmaking at New York University and UCLA.

In addition to interacting with members of Sunni, Shiite, Kurdish, and Christian militia groups, Mr. Mula interviews several ISIS fighters and even an ISIS prisoner. Ultimately, the film poses a chilling question: Is further Iraqi sectarian conflict inevitable?

MOSUL is currently available for sale at mosul-film.com as a digital download, or in BluRay and DVD format for customers in the United States.
